EUROPEAN GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)
Last 25th of May 2018, The European regulation enforced the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
As most of our clients were promoting their product to European customers, have an establishment in the EU and are holding information about EU citizens. We hosted a webinar to help them understand the implications of this new regulation, particularly when sending newsletters, collecting client or leads information at trade shows or doing a Facebook campaign.
In this Webinar, We facilitated the session with our guest speaker, Christelle Santelli of Innovo Legal. We went through the main concepts and discussed how it applies to Australian companies who are actively marketing their product in the European Union.
About Christelle Santelli
Christelle Santelli is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer with private practice experience in Europe and Australia. She is the founder of Innovo Legal. Christelle has significant experience in mergers & acquisitions, commercial contracts and corporate advisory.
She provides corporate governance and regulatory advice and training (including in relation to privacy and data protection/cybersecurity in Australia with the Privacy Act and in Europe with the GDPR). Christelle holds a Masters in Law and is admitted to legal practice in Australia, France and Italy.
